Two short films by the winners of the FilmOffaly/Filmbase Award in 2014 will premiére at Birr Theatre & Arts Centre on Friday 12 June 2015 @ 7.30pm.
The Debt (written by Helen Flanagan, directed by Simon Doyle and produced by Fail Safe Films) is a heart warming story about childhood friendship. When 10 year old Daithí falls for his beautiful and unattainable classmate Jessica, the task falls to his best friend Penny, a rough and tumble tomboy to help him win her heart.
Strangers in the Night (written by Gavin Keane, directed by Conor McMahon and produced by Fantastic Films) is a comedy horror packed full of spookiness and laughs. It’s about two lonely people who find the love that they were searching for. Well, one lonely person and one banshee! Starring Michael Hough (Banagher)
