Offaly-based short film "A Simple Killing" has been wowing audiences on the festival circuit. As well as a recent screening at Offaly's own OFFline festival, the film recently received its US premiere at the Newport Beach Film Festival. It is also due to be shown in Derry as part of this year's Foyle Film Festival, which is an Oscar and BAFTA qualifying festival. Best of luck to all involved!

 

A Simple Killing is a gripping thriller about a woman who is contemplating the end of her life. Things change drastically when she meets a distressed woman who is taking refuge from her abusive partner. Filming was made possible thanks to winning 2023's Film Offaly Award, which goes to talented and original filmmakers using Offaly as a location for their project.
