ABOUT FILMOFFALY

FilmOffaly is Co. Offaly's Film Commission...

Up and running since 2008, we were one of Ireland's first film commissions, and are particularly delighted to welcome crews to make the most of what our county has to offer.

Situated in the heart of Ireland, Offaly boasts a unique landscape, good road and rail infrastructure and plenty of experience and enthusiasm in hosting film productions.

Offaly boasts some truly outstanding and distinctive landscapes and locations, lending itself to a broad variety of genres encompassing anything from period drama to horror.

The north eastern part of the county is situated within the commuter belt of Dublin with the southern and western parts bordering the Slieve Bloom Mountains and the Shannon River.

The county boasts 22 monastic sites and approximately 90 castles.

Get in touch with us via our contact page if you are considering Offaly as a location for your next film production.

We are a project of Offaly County Council and currently co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union through the EU Just Transition Fund Programme 2021-2027.
