How does the Program work?

 

Businesses in Offaly sign up to offer discounts to film production companies and their staff members while working on qualifying productions in Offaly. Qualifying production companies are given a ‘FilmOffaly Vendor Card’ to be presented as verification of eligibility for published discounts at participating businesses. The name of the production and an expiration date will be on the card, so vendors can confirm that it is valid. 

 

Business Owners Discounts & Participation in the Scheme

 

Providing a discount is a requirement to become a participating vendor in the FilmOffaly Vendor Discount Scheme. Vendors may choose to offer discounts to both production companies filming in Offaly and to individual crew members working on those productions. (For example, a dry-cleaning business might offer a 10% discount to crew members who clean their individual items, but a 25% discount to a production company that launders more than 50 items at a time).

 

• Vendors must provide minimum discounts consistently to all             holders of the FilmOffaly Discount

• Discounts must be quantifiable.

• Businesses must offer a minimum discount of 10% off goods &         services.

Vendors reap the rewards of more business and more film companies who are encouraged to film in Offaly. 

A list of participating businesses is given to the production company. 

Vendors will be listed, free of charge, on this website. This website is the first port of call for national and international film production companies wishing to film in Offaly.

What if your Business wants to leave the discount scheme?

 

Companies can also opt out of the programme or change the nature of their discounts, to make it flexible for their own needs. Notice of thirty days must be given to allow for changes on database and website
