A Day for Filmmakers

On Friday 11 October FilmOffaly in association with OFFLine Film Festival held a day of networking and workshops for local and national filmmakers. 

​

Set with the task of 'Whose Movie is it Anyway'? Our panelists David O'Reilly (Location Manager), Peter Campion(Actor Derry Girls), Lorraine Higgins (Screen Ireland), Stephen Fagan (Animation Skillnet)

and Gary Hoctor (Host and Producer) explored, planned, reasoned through the making of a fictitious film.

During the morning David O'Reilly brought us on a journey through his life experiences as an international location manger having worked on blockbusters including Harry Potter, Inception, Dark Knight Rises and Star Wars. 

​

The afternoon featured a presentation on the OFFline Animation Residency funded through Creative Ireland and the J.V.M Trench Will Trust.

A thoroughly enjoyable informative day ..oh and free.
