The End of the Reel was written and directed by Ailish Bracken and produced with Blinder Films Ltd by Ailish Bracken, Niall O'Connor and John Quinn. The script won the 2010 Film Offaly Award and was awarded a grant in order to shoot and make the film. It was shot on location in Birr, Kilcormac and Blueball, Co. Offaly in January 2011.

 

A touching comedy/drama with real warmth, The End Of The Reel depicts the emotional lengths a lonely old man will go to in order to reconnect with his dead wife.
